Irondequoit: We are proud to share he died peacefully in his home on April 29, 2019. David's character was the epitome of his acceptance of what life dealt him and his non-judgmental love of his family. Knowing David made your life better. He welcomed everyone into his life with open arms. His genuine love for people and zest for living was infectious.
He is survived by the love of his life of 52 years, his wife Gerry. A devoted father to David (Maria), Gretchen, Kim (Roger), Gregory (Julie) and Laura. A beloved papa to 16 beautiful grandchildren, Andrew, Alexis, Danielle, Jessica, Samantha, Natalina, MaKayla, David, Tyler, Ryan, Evan, Isabella, Gianna, Mya, Maxwell and Mason; and a great-grandpa to 5 spirited great-grandchildren, Josslynn, Bryce, Braylan, Elijah and Dominic; siblings, Bryan (Nancy) Geesler and Sandra (Robert) Walker; nieces, Shannon, Kerry (Ron), Theresa (Dan), Sarah (Michael); nephews, Michael (Danielle) and Patrick (Maria). Predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Floyd. He was involved with many different organizations throughout the years. He especially enjoyed his golf clambake tournaments.
A celebration of Dave's life will be Saturday, June 15th, 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church. In lieu of flowers please continue Dave's generous spirit by donating to your favorite charity.
