Obituary for Sr. M. de Paul Dugan

Brighton: Sister M. dePaul Dugan, RSM was called home by God on December 5, 2018, during her 80th year as a Sister of Mercy. Sister Mary dePaul entered the Sisters of Mercy after graduating from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1938. She received her Professional Training at Nazareth Normal School. She ministered for 32 years in the teaching profession, sharing her musical gifts, talents in art, and her extensive love of animals. After learning the art of computer, she served as computer coordinator at Holy Cross School for seven years. She also served as Pastoral Visitor at St. Salome Church. Retiring in 1993, Sister dePaul began her Spiritual Apostolate at Mercy Center. Survivors include her sisters, Mary Cavanaugh, Anne Lowe, Rosemary Vincent, brothers, Rev. Thomas P. Dugan, CSB, Robert M. and James V. Dugan, nieces, nephews, and the Sisters of Mercy.

Friends are welcome Monday, December 10, 2018, from 4 to 7 PM at Mercy Center, 1437 Blossom Road, where her vigil service will be held at 7 PM. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10 AM at Mercy Center. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters of Mercy.
